St. John’s Lutheran Church, 140 Maple Avenue, Altamont, is sponsoring a two-week Food Drive to support local organizations concerned with food insecurity among our Veterans: the American Legion Helderberg Post 977, the Boyd Hilton VFW Altamont Post 7062 and the Albany Housing Coalition Inc. Veteran Housing and Services, Albany. This Coalition serves homeless Veterans or those facing homelessness through services like transitional housing and employment assistance.
Please grab a few extra items when grocery shopping to donate:
Pasta, Sauce, Rice, Juice, Peanut Butter, Jelly/Jam, Dressings.
Canned Goods: Soup, Fruit, Vegetables, Stew, Fish, Beans.
Toiletries, Personal Care and Laundry Items.
From May 18 to May 29, drive to the rear entrance of the church to drop off Dry and Canned Food and Personal Care Items.
Tues – Thurs 10am – 2pm
Friday 5pm – 8pm
Saturday 10am – 2pm
