The Albany Housing Coalition for Veterans was amazed that the Collection for Veterans was so very successful! We extend their sincere thanks to the members of St. John’s Lutheran Church, the Altamont VFW and the American Legion as well as the Altamont community for their generous response. We filled their van and part of a truck with thousands of dollars worth of collected items (bedding, towels, paper goods, food, etc) and shocked them with an envelope containing over $800 dollars in cash, checks and gift cards!
